Herefords began because of a childhood love of Hereford cattle.
Max attended the PNE in Vancouver as a youngster with his
family and spent hours looking at the herds showing Hereford
cattle at that time.
In 1973, we purchased our first cows and
the love affair continues. We maintain a herd of about 25
cows and stress super maternal characteristics - cows that
mother, cows that milk, cows that rebreed while raising a
good calf.
We enjoy the fellowship of Hereford breeders
right across the country and our kids benefitted from their
involvement with the Canadian Junior Hereford Association
as well as 4H.
We value the traits in Hereford cattle
that have made them the foundation of the commercial herds
everywhere - their temperament, their easy-fleshing ability,
their longevity and their efficiency.
